Julian Goater, former UK National Cross Country Champion and world-class athlete will be signing copies of his book The Art of Running Faster at the Bracknell branch of Waterstones on Saturday 16th June from 10.30 am onwards.

In his book, Julian challenges the stereotypes of how distance runners should train and readers will learn how to overcome factors that prevent them from running faster and avoid injury with correct running technique.

And Julian should know. During his time as an elite athlete Julian competed in numerous championships and 30 years on, his times for 5,000 and 10,000 meters still remain among the fastest ever by a British athlete.

Since retiring from competing, Julian has remained active and in addition to coaching young athletes has found time to win gold twice in his age group at the World Duathlon Championships and has also won the British Triathlon in his age group.
