GB wheelchair sport is just champion

Following on from their recent success at May’s Paralympic World Cup in Manchester, the GB Men’s Wheelchair Basketball team are hoping for similar success at the upcoming World Wheelchair Basketball Championships.

The tournament will see 12 men’s and 10 women’s teams compete in the most important and biggest wheelchair basketball event before the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

The tournament will run from Wednesday 7th July to Saturday 17th July, at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.

Meanwhile there was success for Britain’s wheelchair tennis players at the Polish Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships in Plock.

Antony Cotterill won the quad singles and paired up with compatriot Chris Johnson to win the quad doubles as British players enjoyed a successful time, with Adam Field finishing as runner-up in both events.
