Leadership lessons of Driven Benevolence

Coaching athletes and teams to Olympic gold once is a huge achievement. Being successful consistently over 20 or 30 years is the prerogative of a very small and select group of coaches. So, what does it take to win repeatedly at the top level of sport? To find out, Sergio interviewed 17 of these super-coaches (totalling over 150 gold medals between them) and their athletes. As it happens, above all the technical and tactical knowledge of the sport and the access to resources and technology, it turns out that their ruthless yet not heartless leadership style accounted for a lot of their success. We have called it Driven Benevolence.
