Human Kinetics are pleased to support the European Sports Medicine Associates

European Sports Medicine Associates

We are pleased to announce that we will be supporting the European Sports Medicine Associates (ESMA) on their first ESMA Open Meeting on 3rd-4th November 2017, in Munich, Germany.

Who is ESMA?

In May 2016, the European Sports Medicine Associates (ESMA) were established as a new section of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).

The aim of this is to bring together the various disciplines of sports medicine including surgeons, sports-doctors, physical therapists, sports scientists, coaches and others.

Who’s going?

Many leading figures from the world of sports medicine will take part in the meeting and will present their experience in specific sports. For each topic, ESMA has invited an international expert to give a keynote lecture. These include Henrique Jones (Portugal), Daryl C. Osbahr (USA), Karl-Peter Benedetto (Austria), Stefano Della Villa (Italy). Dr Osbahr (USA) the chair of the AOSSM STOP outreach committee will present the “STOP sports injuries” programme which has been successfully established in the US. In addition to the outstanding quality presentations of international experts, there will be various workshops organised in the field of sports medicine.

In line with the ESMA spirit, the meeting is specially designed for all disciplines of sports medicine: Physicians, sport traumatologists, physiotherapists, sport scientists, coaches and sports managers are all welcome to this pioneering meeting and the programme will address topics relevant, and of interest, to all of these disciplines and professions.

The Venue

The event is taking place at Holiday Inn Munich – City Centre. The hotel is centrally located in Munich.

From the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station, in the same building complex, you can reach Munich Airport in 45 minutes. There is public underground parking and the city centre is a short walk away.

Check out the ESMA website for more information.
