SUMMARY:High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Dr Martin Buchheit author of Science and Application of High-Intensity Interval Training will be presenting and talking about all things high intensity at this upcoming event at Newman University. \nHigh-Intensity Interval Training\nHigh-Intensity Interval Training is a time efficient method of exercise training that has been widely used. There are numerous variables that can be manipulated resulting in differing physiological stimuli. During the course of this short workshop you will get an introduction to the research and on-field application of HIIT and how theoretical knowledge\, research evidence and on-field experience can come together to provide effective training solutions. \nDr Buchheit \nAbout Dr Buchheit \nDr Martin Buchheit is currently the Sport Scientist\, Physiologist and Strength & Conditioning Coach at Paris Saint-Germain Football Club (PSG). He is also an adjunct associate professor of exercise science for Victoria University in Australia. He previously worked as an exercise physiologist for ASPIRE Academy in Qatar and he has served as a lecturer\, consultant and strength and conditioning coach for various organisations. \nBuchheit received his doctorate in physiology from the University of Strasbourg in France. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed manuscripts\, with much of his research focusing on high-intensity interval training. \nThe training tools he has developed include the 30-15 intermittent fitness test\, used to programme high-intensity training and widely used by elite clubs around the world. He also developed the 5-5 running test\, used to monitor training status using heart rate variability. \nBuchheit also has experience with match analysis and talent development and identification. He is an endurance athlete who has a personal best time of 2:54 in the marathon. \nCome see us\nHuman Kinetics will be in attendance armed with the brand new and much sort after Science and Application of High-Intensity Interval Training be one of the first people in Europe to get your hand on it\, you can buy your copy at the event. \nBook your place \nEvents calendar

SUMMARY:Free webinar Decoding the physiological signatures in EMG signals
DESCRIPTION:When muscles contract they emit electrical signals that are picked up by Electromyography (EMG). The signals code many features of the physiological state and recruitment patterns of the muscles. This free webinar will explore the physiological signatures in EMG signals. \nRead more \nRegister now  \n
