Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week uses the power of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to inspire more young people to take part in and understand the value of sport.
More than 10,500 schools and 3 million children took part in last year’s event and organised their own Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Torch Relays, inter and intra school competitions, pupils made Sports Pledges to take part in more sport and to try something new.
To achieve this, the Youth Sport Trust and Lloyds TSB provided free resources; including teacher packs, great prizes and visits from British Olympians and Paralympians to help schools inspire their pupils in sport and physical activity.
Similar resource materials will be made available once again, but you must register your school’s details in order to qualify.
