Schools offered funding to plan 2012 events

Schools across England that are engaged with the London 2012 Get Set education programme have been invited to apply for a grant through a new scheme that encourages them to inspire their community through sport.

Funded by the Department for Education, the ‘Plan your 2012’ scheme offers up to £8,800 to Get Set network schools which engage with other schools and build partnerships across their community.

Schools that join the Get Set network before Friday 16 December 2011 will also secure a free allocation of tickets to the Games through the London 2012 Ticketshare initiative, as well as other exclusive rewards and opportunities.
