Flushed with success

Heather-Watson-celebratesGuernsey’s Heather Watson has made history at New York’s Flushing Meadows by becoming the first British player to win the US Open girls’ singles title since the junior tournament’s inception in 1973.

When she is at home in Guernsey she is rather famous, but of late she has spent more time in the sunshine of Florida at the renowned Nick Bollettieri academy.

Nick has been responsible for bringing through more No 1 players than anyone else, with Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Boris Becker, Maria Sharapova and Monica Seles all having been the object of his expert eye down the years.

Of course not many people can afford either the time or the many thousands of dollars Heather’s parents have splashed out to enable her to study under the expert personal tutelage of Nick Bollettieri.

But there is hope for the rest of us in the form of Nick Bollettieri’s excellent range of coaching DVDs which provide the next best thing to attending his academy.

Available individually or as a complete set of 10, these DVDs bring Bollettieri’s teaching to life.
