British Cycling performance director quits

British Cycling performance director Sir Dave Brailsford has quit his role. The 50-year-old joined the organisation in 2003 and has been credited with Great Britain’s success at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Brailsford holds a similar position with pro-cycling outfit Team Sky and missed last month’s Track Cycling World Championships to focus on that role.
