Keep children active this summer with the 10 Minute Shake Up!

Children need to do 60 minutes or more of physical activity every day to really get their hearts pumping and doing ten minute bursts of activity is an easy way to help them do this.

It makes them feel good and helps keep their heart, bones and weight healthy.

Last year, “10 Minute Shake Ups” generated a whopping 104,000,000 extra minutes of children’s activity across England.

This year, Change4Life and Disney are back, working with ukactive to encourage kids to team up to shake up with their favourite Disney characters.

From July to the end of September 2015 free events aimed at children and families will be organised under the scheme.

These can be taster sessions, special events and offers encouraging everyone to get active in their local community.

For example family fun days, open days, taster sessions or other brilliantly creative and imaginative activities aimed at children and families.

Watch out for events in your area or why not organise your own?

You can even reserve your free activity pack on the website.
