Meet the Sport Scientist

Meet the Sport Scientist
Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester
15th January 2010

Dr John Dickinson and his team from the Research Institute of Sport and Exercise Science, Liverpool John Moores University will be on hand to answer questions from eager young budding Sport Scientists at this exciting event.

Meet the Sport Scientist is expected to attract a thousand families and those youngsters who have ever wondered how Paula Radcliffe can run for so long and so fast, or how Ryan Giggs can still be one of the best football players in the world at the age of 37, can find out from the experts.

Present will be sport scientists who have worked alongside some of Great Britain’s elite athletes and contributed to Gold medals and world championship performances.

The exhibition and demonstrations will expose the techniques that Sports Scientists use and gain an insight into what goes on behind the scenes to some of the greatest athletes in the world.
