BASES 2012 to be integrated with ICSEMIS

International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport
Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow

19th to 24th July, 2012

BASES Conference 2012 will be integrated into the International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS) 2012. All abstracts are being handled by the ICSEMIS team and plans are underway to have BASES awards for members as usual.

Organised and owned by the IOC, IPC, ICSSPE and FIMS; ICSEMIS replaces and expands the scope of the former four-yearly Congresses that were so familiar to many scientists and academics in sport.

It will be uniquely positioned to take full advantage of the world’s attention that will focus on the UK in July 2012.

The Opening Ceremony of the London Olympic Games will take place on 27 July just after the Convention ends and it is expected that many Convention delegates will go on to attend both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The organisers expect over 2,000 delegates from every professional sector and academic discipline associated with sport, physical education, exercise, physical activity and sports medicine.

Keynote presentations will be inter-weaved with over 100 parallel sessions and 1000’s of free communications to provide a unique multi-disciplinary insight into the broad spectrum of sport and exercise related studies.

Human Kinetics will be exhibiting at this event
