Since 2009, nearly 9 million pupils and 84% of schools in Britain have taken part in Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week.
The event seeks to nurture the natural enthusiasm most young people have for sport and schools can start planning now for the next National School Sport Week, taking place from 24-28 June 2013.
This is a great opportunity to keep the 2012 legacy going in schools and also to engage the wider community to enjoy sport and activity.
The organisers will be taking the most inspirational ideas and strategies and showing how to make them work in any school by engaging all pupils in a week-long celebration of school sport.
During National School Sport Week 2013, young people will be able to take part in more sport, try new sports and learn about the values and ethos of sport.
Schools will be able to maximise or establish links with clubs and the community, involve young leaders and use the scheme’s ideas across the curriculum to get the whole school involved.
