A yoga teacher from Mysuru, India has created a new world record by performing headstands (sirsasana) in 575 different places.
K S Badari Narayan quit his job as a software engineer in Malaysia to take up the yoga-themed challenge.
He performed the difficult sirasasana pose at a variety of different locations, including a number of UNESCO World Heritage sites for a 365 day stretch. These sites included, Angkor Wat, ThaProm and Penang Heritage City.
The teacher has received certificates from the Assist World Records, US based Record Setter and UK based Records Holders Republic.
This record took place from 1st January to 31st December 2015.
