Physical activity doesn’t have to mean Physical Education

Physical activity within schools doesn’t have to be confined to formal physical education classes.

Many are discovering the benefits of incorporating physical activity throughout the school day.

In fact, schools are increasingly having to do so as the recommended amounts of physical activity pupils should undertake to expand beyond the actual time available to them in PE classes.

The premise of this innovative guide is that physical activity in schools is not the sole responsibility of the PE teacher.

It is also the responsibility of all administrators and teachers and is most successful when it is integrated throughout the curriculum.

Schoolwide Physical Activity comes with a CD-ROM that contains all the activities, printable forms and tools from the book, plus over 200 activities for classroom teachers.

It also contains inclusive transitional activities, integrated lessons and simple games and dances, while the comprehensive guide includes access to a dedicated Website with an instructor guide, presentation package and test package.
