Raising the profile of physical activity in primary care

This conference will explore opportunities and strategies to successfully engage primary care practitioners in the promotion of physical activity for the prevention and management of long term medical conditions.

Speakers include: Professor Alan Maryon-Davis (Former Chair of UK Faculty of Public Health); Dr William Bird, General Practitioner and Strategic Health Advisor, Natural England; Professor Mark Batt, Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine, University of Nottingham; Professor Simon Capewell, School of Population, Community & Behavioural Sciences, University of Liverpool, and Professor Julia Hippisley-Cox, RCGP fellow and Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and General Practice, University of Nottingham.

It is intended for Public Health Specialists, Physical Activity Co-ordinators, Exercise Instructors, Sports Development Officers, Leisure Managers, General Practitioners, School Nurses, Practice Managers, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Commissioners and anyone with a remit for improving health and well being.
