Legendary coach and bestselling HK author Nick Bollettieri is part of the BBC’s Five Live team of pundits at this year’s Wimbledon Championships.
Bollettieri shows no sign of slowing down and his contribution to world tennis is about to be finally recognised at a special ceremony on the 12th of July when will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
Bollettieri is credited with developing many world-class players, including Andre Agassi, Monica Seles and Mary Pierce.
The 82-year-old tennis guru is still going strong, playing 27 holes of golf, followed by a two-mile bike ride and baseball with his grandkids on an almost-daily basis.
The hall of fame induction is special to Bollettieri. He will be inducted along with Lindsay Davenport, Chantal Vandierendonck, Jane Brown Grimes and John Barrett.
“Even the Italian boy is at a loss for words, this award doesn’t just belong to me but to my family who missed daddy when I was on the road, my staff, my friends and IMG Academies,” Bollettieri said.
